Некоторое время назад я задумалась о том, как мамы поощряют и хвалят деток на английском? Как выражают удовольствие ребенком? Пообщавшись с лондонской приятельницей выяснила, что с руганью у англичан туго. Углом и «ата-та» никто не грозит. По отзывам некоторых мам и с поощрением тоже не густо. Точнее говорят часто, но однотипно: that’s my boy, good job. Дома мы тоже стали за собой следить, сейчас активно используем I’m proud of you, например, или даже лучше — you should be proud of yourself.

Итак, как же можно отреагировать, если ребенок успешно справился с задачей? Вот, фактически, синонимичный ряд разной степени эмоциональной окрашенности:

Outstanding — выдающийся (в данном контексте «выдающаяся(иеся) работа/рисунок/поделка,успехи»)

Fabulous - поразительно, потрясающе

You did it - у тебя получилось

Super work — отлично

Marvelous — изумительно, превосходно

Exceptional - необыкновенно, изумительно

В последнее время очень много говорится о пользе и вреде похвалы. На английском можно разграничить praise и encouragement, т.е. похвалу как таковую и похвалу воодушевляющую, поддерживающую мотивацию, интерес к делу. Несколько примеров этой разницы приведеня в этой статье. Если избегать прямого оценивания, а выражать свои эмоции по поводу того или иного проявления ребенка/мотивировать его на дальнейшую работу, то можно также использовать следующие:

I’m so proud of you - я горжусь тобой

I can tell you worked really hard on that — я вижу, ты очень старался

I knew you could do it — я знала, что у тебя получится

You’ve made progress — ты стал делать это лучше

Nothing can stop you now -теперь тебя ничто не останови (ты научился делать это хорошо)

You tried hard — ты сделал все, что мог (я это ценю)

You’ve figured it out — ты разобрался

You’re on your way, you are catching on — уже почти получилось

Now you’ve got it — теперь у тебя все получилось

You’ve got what it takes — ты можешь это сделать (есть все навыки), давай, вперед

Keep up the good work - продолжай в том же духе (Please keep doing the good things that you are doing now. (A general phrase of encouragement.)

Dust – пыль

To tidy room up (=put things away) – убраться в комнате

Start dusting from the top – начни вытирать пыль сверху

Dusting:

Could you help me dust the bedroom, please? Thank you! First, we have to tidy the room up. Let’s move the things that are cluttering the floor. Let’s put everything back in its place like chairs, bags, pillows, toys and tables if possible.
Don't forget to clean the items, you are going to remove, too! Some things you might put out in the hall for a while. When we finish we’ll put everything back in its place again.
Take a dusting cloth and dampen it. It is better to start dusting from the top. The dust that falls down (to lower surface) will be wiped away later. If you start dusting at the bottom first, you will have to dust it again later!

Cleaning the TV:

Look! The TV is covered in dust. You have to dust it. It's better to dust it often, because the TV-screen attracts dust. The dust accumulates fast on the TV! Also, for the TV, you need a special cloth (a microfiber cloth). Take one from this packet!
Be sure to turn your TV off and unplug it before cleaning the screen. It is easier to see any dirt, dust and fingerprints when the TV is off.
Then wipe the screen gently with the cloth. Don’t touch the screen with your hands. Move the cloth across the screen like this, from left to right and top to bottom.
And don’t miss any spots. Clean them carefully, please. Don't press hard on the screen.
Oh, dear! You have left your fingerprints on the screen! I want you to wipe them away! Great!
Make sure to wipe the base and sides of the TV as well. When the duster gets dirty, turn it over and use the clean side. Good job. The TV is clean now!
Oh, no! Wait! You forgot to clean the remote control. Wipe that, too, please. Good!

 

Vacuum cleaner:

Now, let's clean the carpet. But first, put the toys and things away, and the paper in the bin – anything that you can see. These things will get stuck in by the vacuum cleaner and they will block it!
Also, pull back the curtains so as the vacuum cleaner won’t suck them in as well.
Plug in your vacuum cleaner and turn it on. Then, hold the pipe tightly and work your way across the room, going back and forth like this. But, please, don’t just rush through it. You have to go slow enough to give the vacuum cleaner time to suck up the dust and dirt! Try not to walk on the already vacuumed area.
Oh, dear! The vacuum cleaner sounds strange, let’s stop and see what is the matter! Something is stuck in the brush part! Stop, please! If you don't stop, the vacuum cleaner will get damaged. Unplug it and let’s check it! Let's have a closer look! Oh, there is a ball stuck in it. You have to remove it. Well done!
Go on vacuuming! Don't forget the corners, because usually a lot of dirt and dust collects in the corners. Good job! The carpet is clean now! Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it! Then push and hold this round button and the cable will rewind automatically! Let's have a rest!

Большая стирка для малышей

Let's put it in the wash

Детки так любят имитировать мамины дела по хозяйству, а ещё больше участвовать в них. Сегодня я хочу рассказать о том как просто и интересно можно поиграть с ребёнком в стирку во время купания. Для этой игры я вырезала из хозяйственных резиновых салфеток силуэты одежды, их можно сделать разного цвета и размера, чтобы обсудить кому принадлежат вещи, что больше, что меньше.

· Whose clothes are these? — Чья это одежда?

· Which is the biggest size? — Что самое большое по размеру?

· clothes pegs (br.) / clothespins (am.) — прищепки (отличная вещь для мелкой моторики)

· a string / a rope for a clothesline — верёвка для сушки белья (натянуть на уровне ребёнка)

· soap — мыло

· a sponge — губка (необязательно, но у меня дочка прямо требует этот предмет, когда нужно наводить чистоту)

Мы с дочкой смотрели перед игрой мультфильм Peppa. Whasing и у нас по сюжету это были вещи Пеппы и её семьи, но конечно можно придумать любой другой сценарий.

· The little dress is Peppa's. — Маленькое платье — платье Пеппы.

· The big dress belongs to Mummy Pig. — Большое платье принадлежит маме Свинке.

· This is George's shirt. — Это рубашка Джорджа.

· Daddy Pig's shirt is bigger than Geogre's one. — Рубашка папы Свина больше, чем рубашка Джорджа.

Чистую одежду стирать неинтересно, поэтому мы специально приготовили грязь (прямо эксперименты из рекламы о стиральном порошке). Рецепт грязи следующий: вода+ манка+кофе+ребёнок с ложкой = mud. Разбрызгивали её на одёжку при помощи коктейльной трубочки. Игра получилась очень комплексная: Агата училась выполнять самые разнообразные действия по инструкции, потренировала множество разных движений пальчиками (развитие мелкой моторики), а мама практиковала в речи глаголы.

· Let's prepare mud: mix coffee, semolina and water. — Давай приготовим грязь: смешай кофе, манку и воду.

· Stir the mixture thoroughly. — Перемешай смесь как следует.

· Splash the mud on the clothes. — Брызгай грязь на одежду.

· Sip a bit of mixture inside your straw and blow it out. — Втяни немного смеси в трубочку и выдувай.

· Splish-splosh! — Плюх-плюх.

· You've made this dress all muddy. — Ты перепачкала всё платье грязью.

· The shirt deffinetly wants washing. — Эту рубашку определённо надо постирать.

· There are stains of mud on the clothes. — На одежде пятна грязи.

· Soap the sponge / the clothes. — Намыливай губку / одежду.

· Scrub the dress to wash off the dirt. — Потри платье чтобы отстирать грязь.

· Wishy-whashy. — Трём-трём

· Rinse the laundry off in clean water. — Прополощи бельё в чистой воде.

· Hang the dress out on the line to dry. — Вешай платье на верёвку сушиться.

· We have to squeeze out exceses water before hanging. — Перед вывешиванием нужно выжать лишнюю воду.

· Wring the shirt out. — Отожми рубашку.

· Press the tips to open the clothes peg. — Нажми на кончики чтобы раскрыть прищепку.

· Fasten the dress to the string. — Пристегни платье к верёвке.

 

· Конечно многие из этих действия сложно даются двухлетнему ребёнку и выполняла их Агата с моей помощью (так например прищепку она отлично умеет цеплять к одежде, но не к верёвке). Но главное затея удалась, потому что дочка была полностью поглощена процессом, ни разу не отвлеклась. Думаю, и вашему малышу понравится эта игра.

Тему стирки можно обыграть не только во время купания. Вот ещё несколько идей:

· посмотрите мультфильмы Maisy Mouse Washing и Peppa Washing.

· развешивайте на прищепках карточки с одеждой / бумажную одежду.

· потренируйте названия одежды, загружая карточки в игрушечную стиральную машинку (я сделала такую игрушечную стиралку из коробки)

· воспользуйтесь отличными идеями для обыгрывания книги Peppa's Washing Day из статьи моей коллеги Веры Пекишевой. Кстати, это ей спасибо за вдохновение к этой игре.

Pull out this dispenser drawer and put the scoop in the dispenser drawer – выдвинь ящичек и насыпь туда одну мерную ложку порошка
You need to choose the right programme according to the clothes you want to wash. – тебе нужно выбрать программу для твоего типа вещей, которые ты хочешь постирать
Now, we need to wait for a while until the clothes wash – теперь нам нужно немного подождать, пока машинка постирает
While the washing machine is on, let’s play for a while – пока машинка стирает – давай немного поиграем
Take the clothes out and put them into this basket – вытащи бельё и положи его в корзину
All the clothes are clean now!– вся одежда теперь чистая!
And they smell good too! – и как хорошо пахнет!
It's time to hang them on the clothes line (=to hand them out) – время развешивать бельё на верёвку
Fasten the t-shirt on with the clothes pegs – прикрепи футболку прищепкой
There is not enough space on the clothes line – на верёвке недостаточно места для белья
Let’s hang the rest of them on the radiator – Давай повесим оставшееся бельё на батарею
All the clothes are dry – вся одежда высохла
It’s warm enough to dry all the clothes in no time – он достаточно тёплый, чтобы высушить всю одежду быстро.
Let’s gather them into the basket\basin. – Давай соберём всю одежду в корзину\тазик
Help me to bring the basket\basin to the room – Помоги мне принести корзину\тазик в комнату
Turn the shirt right side out – вывернуть рубашку на лицевую сторону
Turn the shirt wrong side out – вывернуть рубашку на изнанку
Turn the clothes right side out and fold them to be ready for ironing – выверни одежду (на лицевую сторону) и сложи её на глажку.

Washing dirty linen:

This is a washing machine. We wash dirty linen/clothes here. This is the laundry basket. We keep the dirty linen here.

Let’s do the washing then. Take only your own clothes, don’t mix them with our clothes. Load your socks, t-shirt, tights, pants and underpants in the washing machine.

That’s enough, it’s full now. We don’t want to overload the washing machine or it will get damaged! Now, shut the door. And plug the washing machine in.

This is the box of washing powder. Fill the scoop with washing powder. You need one scoop of washing powder only. Ok, you can get two:) I think that will be enough.

Now pull out this dispenser drawer and put the scoop in the dispenser drawer. And close it.

Switch the washing machine on by pressing this button. See, all these buttons lit up. You need to choose the right programme according to the clothes you want to wash.

Let’s choose the toddler clothes programme. Turn this button to the right. You’ll see the symbol for toddler clothes here on it.

Next, choose the temperature you want to wash the clothes at. Your clothes are too dirty, so choose 60 degrees.

Look, here! You need to push the start button! Now, we need to wait for a while until the clothes wash.

While the washing machine is on, let’s play for a while. We’ll come back later, when it’s finished.

It's time to hang them on the clothes line. Take the T-shirt (pants, towel, socks and so on) and hang them like this on the line. Then fasten them on with the clothes pegs.
