Конструкция, в которой инфинитив относится к дополнению, как бы «осложняя» его (то есть действие, выраженное в инфинитиве, будет выполнять «объект», выраженный дополнением). Переводится на русский с помощью придаточного предложения.

I want  him to translate    the text. - Я хочу, чтобы он перевел текст.

 

see / hear / feel + V

Глаголы чувственного восприятия являются исключениями, после которых инфинитив употребляется без частицы to.

 I saw him   come home. – Я видел, что он пришел домой.

Если важно:

Ø КАК произошло действие – V-ing

Ø ЧТО произошло – V (Bare Infinitive)

I heard her play piano. She is at home.– Я слышал, что она играла на пианино. Значит, она дома.

I heard her playing piano. It was amazing. – Я слышал, как она играла на пианино. Это было восхитительно.

* Исключение не распространяется на случаи, когда Инфинитив стоит в страдательном залоге (Passive  Infinitive)

I heard the tune to be played again and again. – Я слышал, как мелодию играли снова и снова.
