Могли ли геологические условия повлиять на размещение трех пирамид Гизе?

Принято думать, что Хеопс избрал место для своей пирамиды на самом возвышенном месте долины Нила. Если выбор фараона диктовался именно таким соображением, то почему Снофру, отец Хеопса, строил пирамиды не здесь, а в Дашуре? Почему он не предпочел плато Гизе? Изучив вопрос внимательно, можно обнаружить, что место в Дашуре и выше, и ровнее. Кроме того, в основание пирамиды Хеопса врезалась скала, которую строителям приходилось вделывать в общее сооружение. Край скалы составлял 7 метров в высоту, и она усложняла разметку и строительство, поскольку не давала возможности видеть сооружение по диагонали. Сто лет тому назад В. Ф. Питри доказал, что намного лучшим для пирамиды Хеопса является место, расположенное на 100 метров западнее – оно дальше от края плато и там нет скалы[548].

Хоть мы, конечно, и не можем точно судить, каким было плато Гизе 4500 лет назад, но вправе предположить, что оно имело такую же плоскую форму, с небольшим наклоном с запада на восток на протяжении 2‑х километров и с севера на юг – 1,3 километра (см. 29. Топографическая карта плато Гизе). Таким образом, центральный район плато предоставлял строителям возможность возвести сооружения любой формы.

Понятно, что строители некрополя исходили отнюдь не из геологических условий. И, очевидно, разместили все три пирамиды на диагонали с севера‑востока на юго‑запад не потому, что их вынудили обстоятельства.

Возникает вопрос – какую цель они при этом преследовали? Пирамиды являются религиозными сооружениями, которые посвящены культу перерождения фараонов. Заклинания, используемые этим культом, были обнаружены в «Текстах пирамид». Из этих заклинаний можно получить представление, какой видели египтяне посмертную жизнь на небе в созвездии Осириса‑Ориона.

Все пирамиды были ориентированы по звездам – основания направлены строго по меридиану (с севера на юг). Великая пирамида, кроме того, имеет четыре шахты, которые были ориентированы по меридиану на наиболее важные звезды, связанные с культом перерождения. Одна из этих шахт направлялась на Ал‑Нитак, низшую звезду пояса Ориона. Обратим внимание на то, что пирамида Хеопса по отношению к остальным пирамидам расположена так же, как Ал‑Нитак к остальным звездам пояса Ориона; нельзя также не заметить, что взаимное расположение Нила и пирамид повторяет размещение звезд, имеющих отношение к «перерождению» и «звездного Нила», Млечного Пути. Отсюда может быть сделан вывод о том, чем руководствовались строители, размещая пирамиды на плато Гизе.
