Grammar focus: Simple Tenses

Времена группы Indefinite употребляются для обозначения обычного регулярно повторяющегося действия; действия, происходящего по расписанию; для обозначения признака, присущего лицу или предмету в настоящем, прошедшем или будущем временах.

Every day I go to the university.

He always goes there as he works as a teacher.

Past Simple

Yesterday we went to the cinema.

When I was young I usually lived in France.

What time did he get up yesterday?

Future Simple

I 'll visit my aunt tomorrow.

Will you read this book?

He won't do this as he is too lazy.

               

To be - быть, находиться.

В отличие от других английских глаголов, глагол "to be" спрягается, т.е. изменяется по лицам и числам:

NB!!! Future Indefinite не употребляется после союзов if (если), when (когда), as soon as (как только), till / until (до того как, прежде чем), while (пока, в то время как). В этих случаях вместо Future Indefinite употребляется Present Indefinite.

Example: If you turn right, you will see the Hall of Justice. – Если вы повернете направо, вы увидите здание суда.
