Fractions and decimals

Arithmetic

There are four basic processes for working out (= calculating) a problem:

THE PASSIVE VOICE. TENSE AND ASPECT

Read the poem below and underline the examples

In the Passive Voice

The Moon is made of silver,

The Sun is made of gold,

And Jupiter is made of tin,

So the ancients told.

Venus is made of copper,

Saturn is made of lead,

And Mars is made of iron,

So the ancients said.

But what the Earth was made of

The passive voice is used:

a) To describe an action when we don’t know or do not know exactly who does, did or will do the action. My bicycle was stolen last night.

b) To describe what happens to people or things, often as a result of action of other people or things. Several people were hurt in an accidentlast night.
