My working day

Let me describe my usual working day. My classes begin at 8.30.So on weekdays I have to get up at 7 o`clock. I turn on the radio, do morning exercises, take a shower and brush my teeth. After that I get dressed and comb my hair. Then I have breakfast. I love to listen to the latest news on the radio or TV while I am eating.

    I leave my house at 8 o`clock and walk to the nearest bus stop. I live rather far from the college and it usually takes me about half an hour to get to the college.

    As a rule we have 3 or 4 lectures a day. We have lectures in different subjects. Usually I don`t miss my classes because I want to pass my examinations successfully.

    At 11.50 we have a big interval for lunch. That`s my favourite time. That`s the time to share the latest news with my friends. I prefer not to go to the canteen and we often have lunch in a small café not too far from the college. At 12.30 we have to be back to our classes. During the working day we also have several short intervals that last for ten minutes.

    From time to time I have to stay at the college in the evening because I go to the library to get ready for my practical classes or to write a report. As a rule I have no free time on weekdays. So by the end of the week I get very tired.

    I come home at about 7 o`clock in the evening. My parents are already at home. We have supper together and share the latest news. After supper we wash dishes, drink coffee or tea and watch TV. I prefer old comedies and serials or films about travelling. Sometimes I go for a walk in the park or visit my friends.

    At about eleven at night I go to bed. I like to read something before going to bed or to listen to some music. Sometimes I fall asleep while I am reading.

My college

    I study at Ufa State College of Radioelectronics. It is located (not) far from my house, it takes me (5) minutes to get there. I’m the second course student. Our college is a large and light building, it has 6 floors. There are a lot of terminals, TV on each floor.

Our studies start at 8.30 and finish at 15.50, usually we have 3 or 4 lectures every day. We have a cloak-room, rooms of executives (administration), web studio, time-table, medical point, a shop, museum on the ground floor. On the first floor we have canteen and classrooms for special disciplines, dentists`.

On the second floor there is a headmasters’ room, the students are taught computer skills in computer classes and there are a lot of well – equipped classrooms for technical disciplines. On the third floor we have classes for Russian, Literature, Maths, Geography, history, chemistry, Physics and others. On the fourth floor there Assembly hall (the whole college celebrates there holidays, meetings, concerts, discos); a library with a reading room and a gym.

 Our college has some rules. Students must enter the entrance door by a security with Identity Card. The students have to come 15 minutes before the lesson.

Some classrooms have cinema, smart boards, slide-projectors, tape-recorders, modern technical equipment; you can see different schemes and tables on the wall to help students.

There is a large hall on each floor where they can have a rest during the break, watch TV. The walls are decorated with different posters, pictures, photos of teachers and best students, all windows have curtains.

As for me it is very pleasant to study here. We like our college very much because it is situated near green zone with fresh air, we have free Wi Fi, we have the best site in Russia, we have parking for cars and bikes. We should go there to get good knowledge and important skills for future job.

But I`d like to make some changes at our college. My dream is repaired lift, higher scholarship, swimming pool, hostel, great variety of dishes and good service in canteen.
