Для образования  вопросительной и отрицательной формы с глаголом to have используется вспомогательный глагол   d o / does   (в настоящем времени) и вспомогательный глагол did (в прошедшем времени).

Приведем примеры общих вопросов с глаголом TO HAVE:

Present Simple Tense

Past Simple Tense

Приведем несколько примеров утвердительных и вопросительных высказываний с глаголом to have:

I have three brothers. Do I have three brothers?
She had long beautiful hair. Did she have long beautiful hair?
He will have a glass of milk in the morning. Will he have a glass of milk in the morning?

 

Приведем примеры отрицания с глаголом TO HAVE:

· I don’t have a brother, but I have three sisters.

· He didn’t have a car last year.

· He won’t  have any time for lunch.

Exercise. Answer the following questions.

NB!!! Нужно запомнить несколько устойчивых выражений с глаголом

to have:

Have breakfast/dinner/lunch/ tea – позавтракать, пообедать, пить чай

Have a meal/a drink/a cup of tea, coffee – поесть, попить, выпить чашку чая, кофе

Have a walk/a rest/a party – погулять, отдохнуть, устроить вечеринку

Have a shower/a bath/a swim – принять душ, ванну, искупаться

Have a headache/a toothache – иметь зубную, головную боль

Have a sleep/a dream – поспать, помечтать

Have a holiday, a good time – быть в отпуске, хорошо провести время

Exercise. Translate from Russian into English.

NB! В современном английском языке в настоящем времени глагол to have употребляется наряду с выражением to have got. В прошедшем и будущем времени употребляется только глагол to have в соответствии с теми правилами, о которых мы писали выше (т.е. формы had и will have).

Have you got any sisters or brothers? – Yes, I have. I’ ve got two sisters. / No, I haven’t.

Has your mother got any sisters? – Yes, she has. She has got two. / No, she hasn’t.

Present Simple Tense используется для передачи:

регулярного, повторяющегося действия. Используется со следующими временными маркерами: always, usually, often, generally, seldom, sometimes, never, every day / week / month / year etc, on Mondays, Tuesdays, in the morning, evening, at night, at the weekend   The Browns go to the seaside every summer.
фактов, непреложных истин, законов природы   The Earth rotates around the sun.  
в расписании поездов, автобусов The train leaves at 10.

Past Simple Tense употребляется для передачи:

действия, которое произошло в прошлом. Временными маркерами прошедшего времени являются выражения: yesterday, last week / month / year; last summer / winter / autumn; two days ago, a month ago и т.д. They spent their holidays in Switzerland last winter. We had a great time yesterday.
последовательности действий в прошлом   First, he read his message. Then he called his friends.  
действий, которые неоднократно повторялись в прошлом As a rule, she watched TV before going to bed every night.
