The Guarantee

 

There will normally be three parties involved in the provision of a contract guarantee: the exporter who performs the work of supplies the goods as covered in the terms of the contract; the buyer, in whose favor the guarantee is issued; and the guarantor (either a bank or a surety/insurance company) responsible for is suing the guarantee.

Types of Guarantee

Bid bond/tender guarantee: This document supports an offer and gives the beneficiary a financial remedy if, for example, the tendered withdraws his tender during the

 

adjudication period, the tendered fails to sign a contract if his tender is successful, or the tendered fails to produce a performance guarantee if called upon to do so.
