First Aid Guide

This guide contains basic first aid information for emergency use. With serious injuries, professional medical personnel should be called after first aid is used.

If a person stops breathing, you may need to perform CPR. Begin by checking if the person is conscious. If not, check for a pulse. If there is a pulse but the person is not breathing, begin rescue breathing. If there is no pulse, you must use rescue breathing in combination with chest compressions. A defibrillator can restore a nornmal heartbeat, if available.

Severe bleeding may be internal, as with a fracture, or external. In either case, keep the victim warm to treat possible shock. With an external wound, apply direct pressure with a sterile bandage. Immobilize the injured body part with a splint once the bleeding has stopped.

Minor burns can be easily treated with first aid procedures. Hold the burned area under cold water, and then cover it with a bandage. Do not burst any blisters, to prevent infection.

Sea safety lifeboats has survival craft to fit the need of any ship! Our survival craft meet all National Coast Guard standards. We also offer delivery and installation services: and we sell survival equipment.

Standard Lifeboat – This enclosed lifeboat is a standard double-ender. Onboard the ship, the boat can hang from almost any type of davits. It is easily launched in an emergency with the use of its releasing gear. This model is also available as an open lifeboat. Each lifeboat can hold fifty people.

Standard Life Raft – This inflatable life raft rests upon a cradle and automatically inflates in the event of sinking. Each lift raft comes stocked with survival equipment. This equipment includes a sea anchor, rainwater collection device, and a signaling mirror, as well as other provisions. It comes in a fiberglass canister for storage and protection. These rafts take up very little space on a ship. Each life raft has a capacity of fifteen people.

Standard Survival Capsule – This capsule can be used for escape from a ship in case of emergency. It is stocked with survival equipment and is diesel-powered. Each survival capsule can hold ten people.
