Once you have determined the народы power level, follow each of the steps below to create your народ.

 

STEP 1: CONCEPT

A народ is more than just a group ofindividuals with similar qualities and traits. A народ is a collection of people with a shared history and cultural identity. While the народ builder presents many options for creating new народы, and it may be tempting to treat each section as a buffet of options to help you ferret out the most optimal choices for your character, it is generally more beneficial for your campaign world to conceptualize your народ first. Before choosing options, consider answering some questions about your народ and its culture. Answering these questions can помощь you in making reasonable choices about the qualities and traits of your народ so that it can better fit in the game world-rather than just being a collection of seemingly random options. Such questions might include the following.

· Where does your народ tend to live and why?

· What does your народ look like? How does the members’ appearance help them adapt to their typical environment?

· What is your народы history? Does it have a создание myth? Were there pivotal events in the народы history?

· What kinds of relationships does your народ have with other народы? Does it have allies? Competitors? Enemies? Hated foes?

· What classes does your народ tend to favor?

If you are using these rules and you are not the GM, make sure you work closely with your GM to create a народ that fills a definite niche and need in his campaign world.

 

STEP 2: RACIAL QUALITIES

The next step is to choose your народы qualities. You must select an option from each of the following quality categories. Qualities or aspects of qualities often serve as prerequisites for особенности народа.

 

TYPE QUALITY

This is the народы creature type. A народы creature type is similar to the corresponding creature type found in the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary, with a few important differences. The first difference is that each народ type assumes members of the народ are roughly гуманоид in shape and have two arms, two legs, a torso, and a head. This is important so that a народ can take advantage of all the various magic item slots available to characters and can utilize the standard weapon and armor options. The second difference is that all of these народ types are 0-Hit Dice creatures, which means that their Hit Dice, base бонус атаки, saving throw progression, skill points, class skills, and weapon and armor proficiencies are based on the class levels each member of a народ takes.

Like other racial qualities, each type has a point cost.

The baseлиния creature type-гуманоид-costs 0 RP, and offers the most flexibility when choosing other особенности народа and racial abilities, while a more expensive type typically grants less flexibility. The cost of the народы type also determines which of these types you can choose from based on the power level of the народ you are creating. You cannot pick a type with an RP cost equal to or higher than the maximum RP cost of the power level of the народ you are building. This means you must build an advanced народ if you want to make a народ with the нежить type, or a monstrous народ if you are building a народ with the конструкция type. If you want to make a конструкция- or нежить-themed creature at lower power levels, see the Special Subtypes sidebar on page 218 for some lower-cost options.

Sometimes a народ type may grant особенности народа as features. For instance, the конструкция type grants members of that народ ночное зрение 60 футов. If this is the case, the cost of that особенность народа is already pпомощь for when you buy the type quality, and this trait does not count toward the maximum when you buy особенности народа from the corresponding особенность народа category. For instance,

A конструкция народ is a group of оживший objects or artificially created creatures. A конструкция народ has the following features.

· конструкцияs have no Выносливость score. Any DCs or other statistics that rely on a Выносливость score treat a конструкция as having a score of 10 (no bonus or penalty).

· конструкцияs have the сумеречное зрение особенность народа.

· конструкцияs have the ночное зрение 60 футов особенность народа.

· конструкцияs are immune to all эффекты влияющие на разум (чарыs, принуждениеs, morale effects, шаблонs, and фантомs).

· конструкцияs cannot Лечение damage on their own, but can often be repвоздухed via exposure to a certain kind of effect (depending on the конструкция’s racial abilities) or through the use of the Ремесло конструкция feat. конструкцияs can also be healed through заклинания such as ремонт. A конструкция with the fast исцеление special quality still benefits from that quality.

· конструкцияs are not subject to ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, вытягивание жизни, or nonlethal damage.

· конструкцияs are hard to destroy, and gain бонусные пункты здоровья based on their size, as shown on the following table.

· конструкцияs do not breathe, eat, or сон, unless they want to gain some beneficial effect from one of these activities. This means that a конструкция can drink potions to benefit from their effects and can сон in order to regain заклинания, but neither of these activities is required to survive or stay in добро health.

A дракон is a reptilian creature with magical or unusual abilities. A дракон народ has the following features.

· драконs are immune to magical сон effects and paralysis effects.

· драконs breathe, eat, and сон.

 

Фея (2 RP)

A фея is a creature with сверхъестественные способности and connections to nature or to some other сила or place. A фея народ has the following features.

· фея have the сумеречное зрение особенность народа.

· фея breathe, eat, and сон.

 

Гуманоид (0 RP)

гуманоид народы have few or no supernatural or псевдозаклинания, but most can speak and have well-developed societies. гуманоидs are usually небольшой or средний, unless they have the подтип Великан, in which case they are крупный. Every гуманоид creature also has a subtype to match its народ, such as human, giant, гоблинoid, reptilian, or тенгу. If you are making a new гуманоид народ, you should either find an existing subtype to match or make a new one by using the name of the народ as the subtype. If you are making a half- breed народ, it should have the racial type of both parent народы. For example, a полуэльф has both the human and the эльф subtypes. Subtypes are often important to qualify for other racial abilities and черты. If a гуманоид has a racial subtype, it is considered a member of that народ in the case of народ prerequisites. A гуманоид народ has the following features.

· гуманоидs breathe, eat, and сон.

 

MONSTROUS гуманоид (3 RP)

Monstrous гуманоидs are similar to гуманоидs, but have monstrous or животноеistic features. They often have magical abilities as well. A monstrous гуманоид народ has the following features.

· Monstrous гуманоидs have the ночное зрение 60 футов особенность народа.

· Monstrous гуманоидs breathe, eat, and сон.
