My University.

 

My name is Peter. I am a student. I study at Kazan State Technical University after A.N. Tupolev. It was established in 1932 and named after the prominent aircraft designer A.N.Tupolev. Recently it was known as Kazan Aircraft Institution. But in1992 it became State Technical University. There are a lot of faculties in our university. Our students are future engineers, economists, layers and many others. I study at the faculty of Aircraft Engineering. I am an evening department student, but also we have part-time and full-time students. A lot of young people want to study at our University. That is why we have branch faculties in many towns of Tatarstan, for example, Zelenodolsk, Elabuga,Chistopol and many others. The university has also a preparatory department, where any young man can prepare for his entering exams. As a rule we study 5.5 years and if you want to continue your education you can get Bachelor or Master Degrees.

There are seven buildings in our University, during the year we study in all of them. Each of them has their own canteen and library, where you can rest and study.

But do not think that we study and study only, there are a lot of things which we can do in our free time. A lot of competitions are held in our university. For example you can take part in competitions on different subjects such as English, Russian, mathematics and many others. And if you are pretty or creative enough you can take part in ‘Students’ Spring” or “Miss KAI” competitions. Many students take part in sport competitions and take the first place.

I am proud of being the student of my University.

Tupolev Airliners.

Tupolev designed and developed six types of jet airliner: the TU-104, TU-124, TU-134 and supersonic TU-144, the trijet TU-154 and the twinjet TU-204. Over 3,000 of these aircraft have been produced and 1,500 remain in service today, including 300 with 15 carries in countries outside the Russian Federation. The design of the TU-204 is thus based on very extensive experience.

The design bureau is located in Moscow and the flight test centre is situated at Zhukovsky, which is also the site of the Russian Central Aerodynamics Institute.

The Tupolev TU-204 is the first Russian airliner to fly with Western engines. Similar in appearance and role to the Boeing 757, it was initially designed for Aeroflot as a 200-seat replacement for the trijet TU-154.

The TU-204 aircraft is designed to carry 178 to 214 passengers, depending on the seating layout used, at a speed of 850 km/h over distance up to 7.000 kilometres. It is designed for two-pilot operation, low noise levels and good maintainability.

Tupolev’s designers managed to achieve the maximum passengers comfort while meeting international standards and ensuring the highest level of transportation efficiency.
